The current firm is a combination of two New York law firms. Hartman & Craven LLP was founded in 1921 by Siegfried E. Hartman, a renowned draftsman of wills and commercial documents. During the course of its history, the firm has evolved from representing prominent New York families to counseling individuals and domestic and multinational corporations in various aspects of the law. Schiff, Turek, Kirschenbaum, O'Connell, LLP, which merged its law practice into Hartman & Craven LLP in 1997, was founded in 1982 by Edward L. Schiff, who has specialized in the field of commercial real estate and housing development, particularly cooperatives and condominiums, for over 40 years. 
 
The firm now represents a vast array of clients in various areas of the law including real estate, litigation, trusts and estates and corporate law. As a mid-size firm, we offer the comprehensive services and flexibility of a large firm without sacrificing quick response and personalized attention.
