Melvin Paradise mainly practices in the areas of estate and trust law, including estate planning, administration and estate and gift taxation, all phases of income taxation, as well as business and corporate law. Although he is active in all other areas of the firm's practice, a substantial portion of Mr. Paradise's practice concerns developing and implementing estate planning strategies to best protect the client, the client's family, and the client's assets. His writings on estate taxes have appeared in "Estate Tax Techniques", a professional publication. He has lectured extensively on all areas of taxation for the Practicing Law Institute and has taught at the Baruch College Graduate Program of Taxation. Mr. Paradise's comprehensive experience and expertise in the corporate area includes business negotiations of all kinds, business organization, commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, shareholder and stockholder agreements, and the like. Mr. Paradise was graduated from City College of the City University of New York with a B.B.A., from St. John's University with a J.D., and from New York University with an LL.M. in Taxation. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Paradise is admitted to practice law in New York and Florida, and to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, and the Southern and Eastern Districts of the U.S. District Court. He is a member of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Bar Association, the Florida Bar and the Federal Bar Council.
