Stephen W. O'Connell is a member of the Firm's management committee and is a co-managing partner of the Firm.
He practices in the areas of transactional real estate, real estate financing, contracts and corporate law - including joint ventures and limited liability companies. His concentration lies in areas of commercial and residential building purchases and sales, cooperative and condominium law, lending and mortgage financing, mortgage foreclosure and debt restructuring. Representative clients include real estate investors, developers and sponsors, cooperative and condominium boards, residential and commercial landlords, commercial tenants and lenders - both institutional and private. Mr. O'Connell has a particular expertise representation of clients in the purchase and sale of blocks of cooperative and condominium apartments.
Mr. O'Connell is a graduate (magna cum laude) of New York Law School. Mr. O'Connell is the co-author of "Sponsor's Rights and Obligations Regarding the Conversion Process" published by Matthew Bender in its treatise on Real Estate.
Mr. O'Connell is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey and is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Real Property Division) and the New York City Bar Association. He presently serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Training Institute for Mental Health and sits on the Zoning Board of Appeals in Briarcliff Manor, New York.
